Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible
The controller for the processing of personal data on this website is DR YIELD software & solutions GmbH, Opernring 4, 8010 Graz, Austria. You can reach us at contact(at)dryield.com. Further company details are listed in our imprint.
We have not appointed a data protection officer.
2. Our approach in brief
This website does not use cookies and does not track visitors. It contains no embedded third-party content such as videos, maps, social media plugins or externally loaded fonts. We process only the data needed to deliver the website securely and to answer you when you contact us.
3. Visiting this website
When you open a page, your browser automatically sends technical data to the server: your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, the referring page, browser type and version, operating system, and the amount of data transferred. We need this data to deliver the website to you and to keep it secure and stable.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of the website.
This data is kept in the server log files of our hosting provider for a limited period and then deleted, unless a specific security incident requires us to keep it longer for investigation.
The website is hosted by InMotion Hosting in the United States, which processes this data on our behalf (see section 7).
4. Cloudflare
All requests to this website pass through the network of Cloudflare, Inc., USA. Cloudflare delivers the website quickly and protects it against attacks and misuse. In doing so, Cloudflare processes the connection data described in section 3, in particular your IP address, on our behalf.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the fast and secure delivery of the website and its protection against attacks.
5. Contact, demo and support requests
When you contact us by email, by phone or through the contact, demo or support form on this website, we process the data you provide: your name, company, email address, phone number (optional) and message, and for a demo request also your requested time and your city or time zone. We use this data to answer your request and, where relevant, to arrange a demo, a trial installation or an offer.
The forms send your request to us by email. The email is sent through mail servers of our email providers easyname and Microsoft in Europe.
To protect the forms against spam and misuse, we check that a form was not filled in faster than a person can type, we do not accept free-mail and disposable email addresses, and we accept only one request per minute from the same IP address. For this check, your IP address itself is never stored: the web server keeps only a coded form of it (a keyed hash) that cannot be traced back to the address. The coded value is deleted after 24 hours, at the latest after 72 hours.
If a request cannot be sent, the web server records the technical reason in an error log. This log contains no data from your request; its entries are deleted after 30 days.
If a form sends you back to correct your entries, your browser keeps what you typed for the current browser session, so you do not have to type it again. This stays on your device and is not sent to us.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to a possible contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is answering the requests we receive and protecting our forms against misuse.
Providing this data is voluntary, but without it we cannot answer your request.
We keep requests and the correspondence that follows for as long as they are relevant to a possible or existing business relationship and for as long as statutory retention obligations require, for example for business records under Austrian commercial and tax law. You can ask us at any time to delete them; we will then delete them unless we are legally required to keep them. Copies in our data backups are deleted when those backups are deleted.
6. Job applications
When you apply for a position, we process the data in your application to assess it and to conduct the application process.
Applications reach us by email and are kept in our mailboxes at Microsoft 365 (see section 7).
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
We keep applications for as long as they are relevant to the application process and to possible future openings. You can ask us at any time to delete your application; we will then delete it unless we are legally required to keep it.
7. Transfers outside the European Union
Our hosting provider InMotion Hosting and Cloudflare process data in the United States. Microsoft, whose Microsoft 365 service holds our mailboxes, stores the data in Europe; as a US company, Microsoft may still transfer data to the United States. These transfers are based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified under it, and otherwise on standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). Our email provider easyname processes data in the European Union.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR), and to have it corrected (Art. 16), deleted (Art. 17) or restricted (Art. 18). You also have the right to data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests (Art. 21). Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future.
To exercise these rights, contact us at contact(at)dryield.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde), Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at. You can also contact the authority in the EU country where you live or work.
9. No automated decisions
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
10. Links to other websites
This website contains plain links to other websites, for example LinkedIn. No data is transferred to these websites until you click a link. After that, the privacy policy of the website you visit applies. The Partner Area login leads to a separate application.
11. Changes to this policy
We update this privacy policy when our website or the legal requirements change. The current version is always available on this page.
